About Rebecca Murphey

I have been using technology to deliver information, in one form or another, for more than a decade, with a career that started in print and transitioned to the web. Through it all, I’ve always been on the lookout for the smartest way to get a job done; these days that means harnessing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the most reusable ways possible. I have experience with a wide range of web-related skills — PHP, MySQL, web hosting — but my geeky passion is building modular, reusable front-end architectures, progressively enhanced with jQuery. My varied experiences — from newspaper to marketing agency to interactive agency to web startup — mean I can communicate fluently with skilled developers and non-technical types alike.

I am based in Durham, N.C., but work with clients across the U.S., from New York to Florida to California.
